Terms and Conditions
When placing your booking with Dacs Baggage Transfers, the booking will initially be pencilled in the diary. However, the booking will only be confirmed once payment is received. If payment is not made within 10 days, your booking will not be secured, and the slot may be made available to other customers.
▪ Refunds: A refund is available if the cancellation occurs at least 7 days before the commencement of your walk.
▪ Admin Fee: For cancellations made within 7 days of the commencement date, a £15 admin fee (per bag) will be deducted from your total refund.
▪ Non-Refundable Deposit: A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the service. If the customer cancels, the deposit will not be refunded.
▪ Post-Commencement: Once you have commenced your walk, no refunds are available. However, if you would like to complete your walk at a later date, we will honour the rest of your booking.
Max Weight: The maximum weight allowed per bag is 20kg.
Prohibited Items: The following items are not permitted:
Fragile items (e.g., glass bottles, laptops, tablets)
Flammable or explosive materials (e.g., camping gas, lighter fluid)
Walking poles or any large walking equipment
▪ Insurance: The Service Provider's liability for baggage is limited to the period when baggage is in transit on our vehicles. The Customer should have adequate travel insurance for their baggage.
▪ External Items: No items should be attached to the outside of bags as they may become detached or damaged.
▪ Pick-Up Time: Luggage will be available for pick-up by 9:00 AM at the accommodation (8:00 AM for Inversnaid).
▪ Late Arrival: If a late arrival at Milngavie (the first pickup point) is anticipated, the customer must inform Stuart directly.
▪ Itinerary Changes: Any changes to the itinerary must be communicated the previous evening or before 9:00 AM on the day of transfer.
▪ Airbnb Deliveries: Delivery to Airbnb properties is available. The Customer must ensure arrangements are made with the host as these properties often lack personnel for delivery.
▪ Delivery Time: The Service Provider aims to deliver all bags before 5:00 PM. Delays due to road closures or traffic incidents are possible, and the Service Provider is not liable for any disruptions to travel plans.
▪ Abandoned Walk: If the Customer decides to abandon their walk, they must notify Stuart directly as soon as possible.
▪ Accommodation Changes: Immediate notification is required for any changes to accommodation to ensure proper delivery of bags.
Dacs Baggage Transfers is liable only for baggage while in transit on our vehicles. The customer should ensure their baggage is adequately insured.
Dacs Baggage Transfers is not responsible for any indirect, unexpected, or additional damages that may happen from using our services. This includes delays, inability to use our services, or loss of profits.
